Background and Credentials

Dr. Thai Ta immigrated to the United States at age 17, a pivotal journey that eventually led her to a distinguished career in dentistry. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at UCLA before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California in 1998. Driven by a desire to treat "silent" and often misdiagnosed oral diseases, she pursued advanced specialty training in Periodontics at USC. Since 2001, Dr. Ta has dedicated her practice to Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, serving as both a solo practitioner and an associate throughout Southern California. She is particularly passionate about mucogingival grafting for gingival recession and immediate implant placement procedures. Beyond the clinic, she is a devoted mentor to pre-dental students and finds great joy in cooking for her family and friends. Dr. Ta shares her life with her husband, an orthodontist, and their two adult children, including a daughter with autism and a son entering medical school in 2026.
